Kaiser Permanente Georgia is seeking a Lactation RN dedicated to providing comprehensive support and education in breastfeeding for new mothers. The ideal candidate will offer expert care aligned with our mission to enhance health outcomes by integrating care and coverage. This role requires specialized knowledge in lactation to assist in managing common breastfeeding issues and promoting a positive breastfeeding experience. The Lactation RN will work closely with healthcare teams to tailor breastfeeding practices to individual needs and contribute to health initiatives promoting maternal and child health. Assess and evaluate the breastfeeding techniques and needs of mothers and provide tailored interventions. Educate and counsel mothers, families, and staff about the benefits and management of breastfeeding. Develop and implement breastfeeding protocols and care plans in accordance with the latest guidelines. Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive maternal and child health care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, interventions, and outcomes. Conduct group classes and workshops for expecting and new parents on breastfeeding. Expert knowledge in lactation best practices and breastfeeding techniques. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to educate and empower patients through teaching and compassionate care. Proficiency in patient assessment and care planning. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia. Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) or similar certification is required.
