Job Description:
At Headway, we are redefining the approach to mental health care
by providing a seamless connection between patients and mental
health professionals. As an LPNP at Headway, you will play a
pivotal role in this transformation, offering compassionate and
professional nursing care to our patients within a psychiatric
setting. This role involves direct patient care, assessing mental
health needs, administering treatment, and contributing to a
multidisciplinary team. Administer medications and treatments as
prescribed by psychiatric medical providers. Monitor patient health
and document their medical history. Provide structured care plans
based on patient assessments and professional judgment. Assist in
therapeutic procedures, and crisis intervention as necessary.
Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and
wellness plans. Collaborate with healthcare providers to modify
care plans based on evaluations of the patient's progress. Adhere
to all compliance and regulatory frameworks. Strong clinical skills
in a psychiatric setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills. Ability to handle high stress scenarios with
professionalism. Knowledge of psychiatric medication and the
management of side effects. Effective problem-solving and
decision-making skills. Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
license required. CPR/BLS certification. Any psychiatric nursing
certifications such as Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing
Certification (PMH-BC) are highly preferred.
