CADCPosition willbe responsible fordelivering substance use
disorderservices in an outpatientsetting.The substanceusedisorder
counselor functions aspart of a treatment team including medical
providers, mental healthproviders, other addictions
counselors,peers/recoverymentors, and variousothersupport staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions may
include, but are not limited to the following: Work with patients
individuallyandin a group setting Attend
andparticipateinrelevantteamand staff meetings Conduct
multidimensionalalcohol and drug
assessmentstoidentifypatientsneeds,risks,strengths,and resourcesin
accordance withASAM guidelines Create andmaintainindividualized
treatment plans with progress notesand updatetheplanas necessary
Communicatewith community partnersandreferringagenciesin a
timelymanner. Enhancepatient/clientmotivation and copingwith
substance use issuesthrough evidenced based interventions Serve
asprimarycounselorfor individuals
onamaintainedcaseloadacrossvarious programs(MAT, DUII,IOP,OPetc.)
Beavailable andon time for all scheduled shifts, counseling
appointments, and may need tooffer support as needed for
patients,familyand staff as needed Maintain relevant credentialsand
qualifications Support patients and clientsin various stages of
change Presence at alternatesitesor locationsas necessary for
training, teambuilding, or to offer support for prearranged
coverage MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
Certified Alcohol & Drug CounselorCertification(CADC I, CADC II,
CADC III) or CADC-ROrnational equivalency (NCAC I, NCAC II, NCAC
III etc.) Alwaysmaintaina professional demeanor Ability
todemonstrateknowledge andutilizationof various counseling
theories/modalities Proficient in communication, verbal, written,
and nonverbal Respondwitha high degree ofaccuracy Ability
tomaintainknowledgebaseofrelevantand localrecovery resourcesand
services Ability to work both independently and as a functional
member of a team Ability to complete work thoroughly,
withattentionto detail, andto meetdeadlines. Ability to understand
andoperatewithin the relevant Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs)
