Job Description Express Healthcare Staffing of Lane County Oregon is seeking a local contract nurse RN Behavioral Health for a local contract nursing job in Springfield, Oregon. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Behavioral Health - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days, nights, flexible - Employment Type: Local Contract THIS IS A LOCAL CONTACT, NO PER DIEM, POTENTIAL PERMANENT POSITIONS CURRENT OREGON LICENSE REQUIRED Position Summary: Our Registered Nurses (RN) are responsible for nursing assessments, wound care, working with physicians and other medical and mental health providers, coaching caregivers and medication aides, working with our Behavior Support Specialists, Activity Department, Administration, and the care team members. Our RNs conducts screening/assessment of all prospective admissions to determine if their needs can be met by the staff and services available at Gateway/McKenzie campuses. Essential Functions • Conducts screening/assessment of all prospective admissions to determine if their needs can be met by the staff and services available at Gateway/McKenzie • Attend and participate in meetings as required: o Department meetings o Quarterly care conferences for service plan review o Daily/Bi-monthly nursing meetings o ITD/Service Planning team meetings o IDT meetings o Risk Management meetings • Provided ‘intermittent direct’ nursing services within the scope of licensing to residents who require nursing services • Develop nursing Service Plans for residents • Review Service Plans and assures that plans are up-to-date and complete • Ensure that all staff have the training they need to support each resident’s Nursing Service Plan • Delegate and teach staff in accordance with all applicable OAR’s division 47 rules and defined in the Nursing Service Plan • Investigate all medical S.I.R.’s and taking appropriate actions • Report resident care or housekeeping problems to the Assistant Administrator • Assure residents are assisted in accessing the health care services they need or to which they are entitled to from outside providers • Assure that staff are aware of and are trained in all rehab plans (i.e. PT, OT and etc.) • Maintenance and accuracy of medical records • Be aware of the day to day medical status of residents • Provide indirect supervision of all medical support staff • Maintain a documented system of operations policies and procedures and ensure that all facility practices and policies are carried out in the highest ethical manner • Be thoroughly familiar with the OSBN chapter 851 division 45 and 47, OARS chapter 411 division 54, policies and procedures guiding the work of this position in particular and the program or department overall.
