Harris Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to join our Portland team. As an intern with Harris Group, students will gain exposure to industrial facility projects across a variety of industries such as Aerospace Facilities, Ports & Terminals, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, and Life Sciences. Harris Group interns have a unique educational opportunity to gain exposure to multiple engineering disciplines, such as Mechanical, Electrical, Automation & Controls, Civil, Structural, Process, and Architectural. Interns will have the opportunity to learn from and collaborate with diverse multidisciplined teams of Project Managers, Engineers, Designers, and Drafters on a variety of industrial engineering projects. Responsibilities Provide support to the lead Electrical Engineers in tasks such as AutoCAD drafting, editing drawing/design specifications, engineering analysis and testing, field investigations, developing equipment lists and panel schedules, and final calculation checking Review drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and power plans for quality control Work issues across multiple functions including mechanical, electrical, piping & instrumentation diagrams, and marketing Present an end-of-internship overview of completed objectives, tasks, and projects Requirements Enrollment in an Electrical or Architectural Engineering academic program at an ABET-accredited institution with an expected graduation date in 2027 Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA Ability to work in Harris Groups Portland office and be willing to travel off site on occasion Excellent interpersonal, teaming, and communication skills Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Previous internship or field experience preferred, but not required Equal Opportunity Harris Group provides a competitive compensation and benefits package and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
